The Johannesburg Zoo-to-You is an extension of the
Zoo's living classroom concept, which brings you a
variety of live contact animals that includes birds,
reptiles, insects and small mammals. The presentation is
based on a wide variety of topics and includes
conservation, animal defense, and general information on
animals and their homes.
The experience is fun and
interactive. Animals are trained and used to being
touched by excited children and are very patient with
the young learners. Children can also touch the variety
of animal skins, skulls, nests, eggs and bird feet. This
is an opportunity for shy children to touch skins at
their leisure.
The Zoo-to-You caters for nursery
schools to High School, Corporate Events, Libraries and
Special Events. Regrettably we do not visit private
houses. Sessions runs for 45 minutes to an hour
