Goldilocks And The Three Bears Join The
Johannesburg Zoo’s Teddy Bears Picnic
Johannesburg, October 5, 2005
The cast from GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS will join the
Johannesburg Zoo’s TEDDY BEARS PICNIC on Saturday 15 October.
The event will be held at the Zoo’s Bandstand from 4pm to 8pm.
After 4pm the entrance fee is R13 for both adults and children.
GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS stars Tobie Cronjé as Dame Gertie
Grosbolletijie, Marc Lottering as villain Malicio Malgat, world
champion boxer Brian Mitchell as the Ringmaster, Carlo McFarlane
as Billy the Circus Boy and Natasha Staples as Goldilocks. The
show runs on the Civic’s Nelson Mandela Theatre stage from
November 2nd to December 31st 2005.
“The Johannesburg Zoo is a sister company to The Johannesburg
Civic Theatre within the City of Jo’burg,” says theatre CEO,
Bernard Jay. “The Zoo has new bears to show off. We have bears
getting ready for the panto season. So it just seemed to make
sense to throw it all together into one big Teddy Bears Picnic
at the Zoo. I hope the public will have fun - and come to see
our pantomime later!”There will
also be bear trails to the different bear enclosures at the Zoo
and everyone can follow those trails to see the bears.
