Arbor Week Celebration

Johannesburg, August 30, 2007

Arbor Week Celebration raises awareness of the importance of trees in our community. As sources of building material, oxygen, food, medicine, and simple scenic beauty, trees play a vital role in the health and well being of our communities. Every September from the 1 to the 7 institutions like schools, businesses and organizations in general are encouraged to participate in community "greening" events to improve the health and beauty of the local environment.
