Valentines Day
Spoil your loved one by giving them a rare opportunity to enjoy Valentines Day at the zoo. On the 14th February the zoo stays open till 21:00 to offer couples a romantic Moonlight Tour and picnic under the stars. This scenic tour takes you through the peaceful zoo grounds in the evening, listen to the unique sounds of our nocturnal animals such as Owls, Badgers, Dwarf Nile Crocodile and other small Cats.

Bring a picnic blanket along and enjoy an appetizing picnic at the zoo’s Bandstand while being serenaded by a musician.

The Moonlight tour takes place on the 14th February at 18:30 for 19:00. To make your evening enchanting and hassle free, picnic baskets and solar lamps can be purchased ahead of time at the zoo and delivered to you on arrival. The cost for the tour is R150.00 per couple which excludes picnic baskets. For picnic basket options, please see below.
