1. The competition commences on 09 February 2012 and closes on 23 March 2012. No entries will be accepted after that date.
2. All entries must be original work without the aid of others
3. The winning poster will be announced on 30 March 2012.
4. Winner will be notified telephonically.
5. The prize consists of a free 'Behind the scene tour' for 10 people for the winner and the runner-up will receive 5 vouchers to visit the zoo.
6. Posters must be A3 or A2 size and must be created by hand using crayons, paint, coloured pencils, markers
7. Hard copies or scanned images of posters will be accepted. If selected in the top ten original poster must be submitted to the organiser.
8. Posters must have entrant detail: Name & surname, physical address and contact number and email address.
9. Johannesburg Zoo is not responsible for lost, damaged, or delayed postal shipments
10. The winner must make him or herself available for prize handover and the winner is responsible for the travelling costs, if any, of attending the prize handover.
11. Entry is open to all South African residents, excluding those employed by Johannesburg Zoo and their immediate families. The winner grants permission for the use of his/her name and poster in any advertising and promotional material for this competition.
12. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The judge's decision will not be subject to any proceeding brought in any judicial or quasi-judicial forum.
13. The prize is not transferable and/or negotiable.
14. Personal information collected will not be shared with any third party.
15. If the prize is not claimed within 3 months of the winner announced, the winner forfeits the prize.
16. Participation in this competition and subsequent use of the prizes is at OWN RISK and participants and winners hereby indemnify and hold harmless Johannesburg Zoo, its employees, agents, organisers of this competition, advertising agencies, advisers and any other related parties, against all claims and losses including, without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy, howsoever arising.
17. By participating in this competition, all entrants agree to be bound to the above rules. Any violation or attempt to violate any of the above rules will result in the immediate disqualification of the transgressor.
18. Entries can be dropped off at the zoos main admin office on Jan Smuts Ave, the information kiosk on Upper Park Drive. Entries can also be posted to Private Bag X13, Parkview, 2122.
